About Jianini
Jianini Fashion is a Los Angeles based gown company, specializing in prom, red carpet, and mother of the bride. Jianini draws its inspiration from nature and Hollywood glamor, both old and new.
Jianini Fashion was started in New York in 1989 by Emanuel Eliasof. The idea for the company started when Eliasof was a teenager in the early 1980s, doing window design for high-end gown boutiques in and around New York City.
Eliasof felt that there were too many mistakes being made in the design of the items he prepped for the windows and set forth to create more elegant dresses that women all over New York would be able to wear, not just the 5th Avenue set.
Eliasof opened Jianini Fashion, a retail boutique, in NYC in 1986, which carried many different lines alongside Jianini gowns. After getting overwhelming request from other boutiques to carry Jianini, Eliasof decided to close the doors to his retail boutique in 1989 and officially begin the affordable luxury gown company as a design house without a retail arm.
Since then, Jianini has created gowns drawn from old Hollywood, and after many successful years in New York City, Eliasof and the Jianini Fashion team decided to move to their source of inspiration; in 2002, the company moved its headquarters to Downtown Los Angeles.
In the years since making the move to the West Coast, Jianini Fashion has managed to appear on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16!", on stage at the Equador's Miss Latino Pageant, and at the "Extra!" 2009 Oscars after party. Jianini retails at luxury boutiques in Beverly Hills, New York, Vegas and in the UK.
